I have never really been one for diet plans or methods, but I have always been about trying to eat healthy and finding foods that help me instead of hinder (besides my addiction to brownies). Well, now I can even have brownies that are a "healthier" option than before with the Atkins line of Cuisine foods. Mom Central introduced me to the All Purpose Baking Mix and Penne Pasta by Atkins. Of course, they both have less carbohydrates than regular baking mix and pasta and they both still have a great taste and are easy to use. Now, if you are currently following the Atkins diet you are going to want to take note of which phase these products are in before using them. The Baking Mix is good for those in Phases 2-4, but the Penne Pasta is only for those in Phase 4. If you are like me, and are not a part of the Atkins diet plan, you can use any of it when you like. To make things even sweeter, Atkins is holding a recipe contest! Just head over to the Atkins Community and enter your recipe (by the 30th of September) using the Cuisine foods to have a chance at some prizes! Here's my quick and easy recipe using the Atkins Penne Pasta: Ingredients: Half box of Atkins Penne Pasta 1 Tomato (I used a Cherokee Red...yum!) Handful of chopped Green Onions Olive Oil to taste 2 Cans of White Meat Chicken (I used regular sized cans because they were on sale. You could get away with just one of the bigger cans.) Parmesan Cheese to taste 1 tbl of Minced Sun Dried Tomatoes Dash of Parsley to taste Instructions: Prepare your Atkins Penne Pasta as directed and set aside. Add green onions, olive oil, parsley, tomatoes, and minced sun dried tomatoes to pan over medium heat. Saute until the onions look like they are a good texture. Add chicken and let simmer for a few minutes. Pour all of this on top of the pasta and add Parmesan cheese as you like. I also add a little bit of Olive Oil over top to give it a better texture. Now, I'm sure you can come up with a much more creative recipe than this! Once you do, make sure you add it to the Atkins community and share it here if you'd like!

POSTUPAK
Meso jelena narežite na komade te posolite i popaprite.
Meso nabodite s par klinčića.
Češnjak, peršin i malo slanine sitno nasjeckajte i pomješajte. S ovom smjesom (pešt) premažite meso. Dodajte mesu još ružmarin i lovorov list.
Meso stavite u posudu i prelijte octom tako da pokrijete meso.
Ostavite meso u ovoj marinadi najmanje 4-5 sati.
Luk što sitnije nasjeckajte, posolite ga i pirjajte ga na ulju.
Kad luk sasvim omkša dodajte mu meso. Meso prije izvadite iz marinade, ocijedite i izvadite klinčiće iz mesa.
Meso dinstajte na luku bez dodavanja tekučine.
1 dcl marinade sačuvajte i u njemu otopite jednu kocku (žličicu) šećera.
Kad tekučina iz mesa izhlapi dodajte tanko narezanu mrkvu, suhe šljive i brusnice te sve zalijte 1 dcl marinade i 0,5 dcl marsale.
Dodajte i lovorov list, ružmarin i još malo soli i papra prema potrebi.
Kuhajte na laganoj vatri 2-3 sata.
Po potrebi dodajite pomalo vode.
Pašticadu poslužite uz njoke
SASTOJCI
1 kg krumpira (brašnastog) 2 jaja 250 g glatkog brašna + za posipanje 1 žlica maslaca sol
POSTUPAK
Krumpir operite i skuhajte ga u kori.
Dok je krumpir još vruč očistite koru i zgniječite ga.
Smijesu krumpira prebacite na obilato pobrašnjenu radnu površinu. U sredini napavite udubinu (poput kratera).
U udubinu dodajte 2 jaja, maslac, sol i postupno dodajite brašno.
Zamijesite mekano tijesto.
Tijesto podijelite na manje pogačice (4 - 5) od kojih svaku formirajte u kobasicu.
Kobasicu narežite na manje komade iste veličine.
Komade među nabrašnjenim dlanovima formirajte u kuglicu.
Prokotrljajte svaku kuglicu preko ribeža (na najsitijim rupicama) tako da s jedne strane palcom napravite udubinu. Ribež dobro posipajte brašnom da vam se njoki ne lijepe.
Ponovite postupak dok ne potrošite tijesto.
Njoke kuhajte u kipućoj vodi svega par minuta odn. dok njoki ne isplivaju na površinu.
Moj savijet je ,iz vlastitog iskustva,a i onog sto sam naucila od majke i bake da je najvaznije staviti secer u sasvim suhu lagano ugrijanu posudu/bez ikakve masnoce/. Secer topiti uz mijesanje dok ne postane tamno zlatno zut i otopljen. Jos topal karamel laganim naginjanjem rasporediti po stijenkama posude! Sad uliti smijesu! Kuhati na pari/Banja Maria/-ima kupiti posebne posude,a ako ih nemate kuhajte tako da manju posudu stavite u veliku ponu vode! Kuhati 2-3 sata! Pustiti da se ohladi. Prevrnuti cijelu smijesu na ovalni tanjur ,ohladiti i servirati s sokom sto ostane nakon kuhanja!
